Care Helper

Home
Care Helper is a VisionAge Technology's program to provide products
and services to home care providers so that they expand care delivered
to their clients, meet clients earlier in the care cycle, solidify
relationships with clients, and realize an additional revenue stream
in a turn-key model with no investment by the home care agency.
Home care agencies should
be involved in the care process before a crisis occurs. If the home
care agency is established with the client when a health crisis
occurs, the home care agency can help to guide the family through
the crisis. Many of the decisions to move a senior to a long term
care facility are made in the midst of a crisis by family members
who are unaware of home care options, are emotionally involved and
are unable to make informed decisions, and are being advised by
very busy discharge planners who may not have the time to recommend
the best level of care.
VisionAge will continue
to evaluate products that improve the lives of seniors and their
families and help home care agencies assist their clients so that
they may remain in their homes.
The Home Care Helpers
Program consists of products and services.
Home care agencies can
offer medication dispensers, personal emergency response
systems, and remote video monitoring to their clients.
Medication
dispensers:

of nursing home admissions and 10% of hospital admissions are
due to medication non-compliance. Keep your client healthy and
at home by recommending a medication dispenser. You can provide
a service to reload the machine periodically as well.
Since medication
non-compliance is normally the first segment of the care process
that requires outside help, home care agencies can meet clients
at the beginning of the care cycle before family members begin
to consider long term care facilities.

Provide a product that will call for help when your client needs
it. Have the monitoring center call your agency when your client
needs help.

Much
of the information that we gather about the health of a senior
is visual. Are they having breakfast at their normal time? Are
they properly dressed and attending to their personal hygiene?
Is the home neat and organized or are newspapers being stacked
up? You can talk to a client on the telephone periodically and
see them and their environment to assess their status. The family
members can log into a secure website and view their family
member to insure that they are safe. (We recommend that cameras
be placed in the more public areas of the home where they spend
more of their time such as living room or kitchen.) |
Shipping:
All products are shipped direct to the customer. You will be forwarded
tracking information so that you can follow up with your customer
and insure satisfaction.
Billing:
We will provide all billing to the customer (credit or debit card).
Commissions are paid to you monthly following the month of service.
