Slips, trips and falls are a major cause of concern for the infirm and elderly, especially for those living alone. Hundreds of thousands of people are found helpless in their homes because of falls every year. It is not uncommon to hear of persons who have fallen, and due to inability to move, have spent hours or days on the floor until they are found.

Patient Down Solution
Pioneer Medical Systems announces the Patient Down system. A "smart" transmitter that electronically senses changes in body attitude and measures the force of impact. This provides an accurate way to automatically alert our monitoring technicians of a potentially dangerous fall situation as soon as it occurs. Offered with our voice system, our monitoring technicians have the capability of two-way voice communication with the subscriber. Studies have shown that the amount of time spent prone after a fall directly affects the chances of recovery. So, the quicker help is sent to someone, the better it is for him or her, both physically and mentally.

Features
The Stability of the Fall Detector virtually eliminates false alarms. A micro processor-controlled accelerometer monitors the body's position and accelerations relative to gravity, 256 times a second. Unique multivector motion analysis technology identifies true fall situations. The range of up to 300+ feet ensures security throughout the user's home. Includes panic button, eliminating need for traditional pendant.
